B3A lottery machines

Section 235(2)(d) of the Act (opens in new tab) and Regulations under that section define a B3A machine as one where the results of the lottery are determined by the machine and/or the machine displays the results of the lottery without an interval of at least one hour between the sale of the ticket and the announcement of the result. These machines can only be sited in a members’ club or miners’ welfare institute holding a club gaming or club machine permit issued by the licensing authority. Clubs and institutes are entitled to site one category B3A machine on the premises.
