Revision of anti-money laundering guidance and advice

The Gambling Commission has published a revision to the 5th Edition of the guidance for non-remote and remote casino operators on the Prevention of money laundering and combating the financing of terrorism.
The changes to the guidance are as follows:
The substitution of a paragraph to highlight new reporting requirements introduced with the latest version of the Licence Conditions and Codes of Practice which came into effect on 31 October 2020
The addition of text to internal controls to make reference to new licence condition 15.2.3(2) and (3)
The correction of a minor typographical error in the list of persons subject to financial restrictions
The Commission has also published a revision to the 4th Edition of the advice to all other operators on Duties and responsibilities under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002.
The changes to the advice are as follows:
- The addition of a paragraph in order to highlight new reporting requirements introduced with the latest version of the Licence conditions and codes of practice which came into effect on 31 October 2020
- The correction of a minor typographical error in applying for a defence.
These new versions come into effect immediately.
