Licensing Authority Statistics 2021 to 2022 – Superseded

Details about the Licensing Authority Statistics 2021 to 2022.

Summary

This report has been updated by the report Licensing Authority Statistics 2021 to 2022 – Revision.

This report provides statistics by Licensing Authorities (LAs) in respect of their duties under the Gambling Act 2005 (opens in new tab) for the regulation of gambling in Great Britain.

This edition reports on the periods between April 2021 and March 2022. For reference, the accompanying Excel file contains comparative data dating back to April 2012.

The Excel document features data supplied by 314 LAs in Great Britain.

Notes

This publication is primarily for anyone who has an involvement or interest in the gambling industry including government and local authorities.

About the status of official statistics.

This year only 314 of Britain’s 363 LAs supplied data for the report. Because of this data shortage we could not produce a meaningful full report.

Please note some changes were made to the 2021/22 publication. The Licensing Authority Statistics for 2021/22 only contain statistics regarding inspections (including test purchase visits) and Local Authority Compliance Events.

We are always keen to hear how these statistics are used and would welcome your views on changes to this publication.
