First money laundering prosecution for illegal poker den

Enfield Council has become the first local authority in the United Kingdom to successfully prosecute a person for money laundering in relation to the running of an illegal poker den. Read the Enfield Council press release.

Update: On 3 June, 2014, a 33-year-old man was sentenced to 15 months imprisonment for five offences of money laundering under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002. Read Enfield Council press release.
