Consolidated Fund to receive regulatory settlement money

In February the Commission launched a consultation on where funds from regulatory settlements should go following the introduction of the Government’s statutory levy.
Following that consultation and consideration of responses the Commission has decided the money should be paid to the Consolidated Fund – a fund which receives the proceeds of taxation and other government receipts.
This decision takes account of the new levy commissioning structures and avoids a dual system or any duplication of work funded by the statutory levy (opens in new tab) .
