Unlicensed gambling den raids in Doncaster
21 July 2026
Two Doncaster city centre premises have been raided as part of a joint operation to disrupt unlicensed gambling.
Operation Snaresbrook saw the Gambling Commission, Immigration Enforcement, South Yorkshire Police, as well as City of Doncaster Council’s trading standards and licensing teams working together to crack down on illegal gambling dens.
Two unlicensed venues were raided and eight people were arrested - one for offences under the Gambling Act of 2005 and seven for immigration offences.
During searches of the businesses in question, officers seized just under £9,000 and found poker tables, slot machines, and account books.
