RO2 Fair and open gambling

Consumer perception that gambling is fair and can be trusted

This data is taken from our Gambling Survey for Great Britain (GSGB), which provides regular information about the gaming, betting and playing habits, attitudes and consequences of gambling experienced.

With the launch of the GSGB, we have improved and expanded the data we collect. Due to differences in methodology, the new data is not directly comparable with data from previous years. We will continue to work to improve our metrics in this area.

Consumer perception in itself is not evidence that gambling is fair and can be trusted, and can be impacted by, for example, media coverage. However, it does provide an indicator of consumer confidence in our regulation.

The aim of our regulatory activity is to see consumer confidence increase.
