Request

To Whom It May Concern,

Between the years (approximate) 1998/9 and 2006/7, Grand Prix "6" Limited was issued with licenses for the provision of online pools betting in the UK (from memory, these may have been "remote" type licenses(?)).

REDACTED

Having spoken to one of your kind representatives some moments ago, who informed me that the Gambling Commission doesn't keep immediate records beyond a certain date which, in the instance of my inquiry, has long since passed, I understand that I require a Freedom of Information Request for Grand Prix "6" Limited with respect to the licenses issued, REDACTED.

Response

Dear Sir/Madam

Thank you for your request, received on 21/12/2022, which has been processed under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA).

In your email you have requested licence information relating to 'Grand Prix 6 Limited'

I can confirm that when the Commission took over from the Gaming Board in 2007 there were no electronic files transferred from the Gaming Board to the Commission, therefore, we do not hold any electronic information that predates this period of time.

We did hold some paper records relating to the Gaming Board, however, these were destroyed in 2020 as part of our records management deletion process.

As such I can confirm that no information is held falling within the scope of your request.

Review of the decision

If you are unhappy with the service you have received in relation to your Freedom of Information request you are entitled to an internal review of our decision. You should write to FOI Team, Gambling Commission, 4th floor, Victoria Square House, Victoria Square, Birmingham, B2 4BP or by reply to this email.

Please note, internal review requests should be made within 40 working days of the initial response. Requests made outside this timeframe will not be processed.

If you are not content with the outcome of our review, you may then apply directly to the Information Commissioner (ICO) for a decision. Generally, the ICO cannot make a decision unless you have already exhausted the review procedure provided by the Gambling Commission.

The ICO can be contacted at: The Information Commissioner’s Office (opens in a new tab), Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF.
