Gambling establishment - number of premises visits
Request
Is it known how many people roughly visit a gamblng establishment in the UK?
Even if it is a generic 2.4 Million (for example) visit a licensed venue (casino, bookmakers) in a year that would be great.
Response
Thank you for your request which has been processed under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA).
In your email you have requested information relating to how many people, roughly visit a gambling establishment in the UK.
I can confirm that The Gambling Commission does not hold ‘actual numbers’ of visitors to gambling premises from operators.
However you may find it useful to view our quarterly telephone survey release, published on our website. This publication contains estimates of gambling participation.
