Introduction - Changes to Regulatory Panels consultation
On 26 July 2023 we issued our consultation on changes to Panels. The consultation ran for 12 weeks until 18 October 2023.
We received 140 written responses to the consultation from the following categories of respondents:
- 83 from members of the public
- 8 from a person representing a charity and/or non-profit
- 19 from individuals representing a gambling business
- 1 from a person representing a licensing authority or other regulator
- 4 from individuals representing a professional body, including academic organisations
- 5 from individuals representing a trade association
- 11 from individuals responding in a personal capacity who are working or have worked in a gambling business
- 9 from academics responding as an individual.
A large number of the responses to the consultation on changes to Panels did not answer the questions asked. They raised concerns about other topics or were generally unfavourable about the Gambling Commission.
