Daniel Chandler register of interests

The purpose of a register of interests is to ensure the Commission is able to identify and manage potential conflicts that may influence their duties. For the most senior decision-makers and advisers in the organisation, their register of interests will be published on the Commission website as part of our commitment to transparency and the requirements of Cabinet Office Code of Conduct for Board Members of Public Bodies which specifies interests should be declared publicly.

No. For information: as part of his role as Peer Support for the Bet Know More. Dan has participated in a series of focus groups with an operator. Along with other Peer Supporters he has explained his experience of gambling harms. The operator is using the insights from the focus groups to help improve how it identifies customers who are showing signs of suffering gambling harms and make positive interactions with them.

Has a gambling operator voluntarily given you any funding – or do you hold a senior position in an organisation where this has happened?

No

Are you on the Gambling Commission’s list of organisations which are eligible to receive LCCP RET donations -or do you have a senior role in an organisation which does? (RET refers to voluntary contributions by the gambling industry to fund Research, Education and Treatment relating to gambling harm).

No. For information: Dan works as a Peer Support Worker at Bet Know More. This is not a senior management position.
