Initiate third-party commissioning of credit card ban evaluation (GREO)

October 2021

The interim evaluation of the Gambling Commission’s credit card ban was published on 2 November 2021.

The evaluation of the Credit Card Ban for Gambling in Great Britain was awarded in June 2021 to NatCen Social Research. The project is currently underway and on track for completion in February of 2023.

April 2021

Project governance structure for the third party evaluation includes: Steering Committee for overall direction and advise; Advisory Committee for sector specific recommendations and guidance; Key Stakeholders will receive regular updates.

November 2020

GREO are working to establish the governance structure for the evaluation of the ban on credit cards to fund gambling online. The tender will be issued in January 2021.
