Darren is an experienced Chief Technology Officer and Entrepreneur, having seen venture backed companies through founding, fund-raising and initial public offering.

Darren is a Non-Executive Director of Escrow.com, one of the largest and earliest online escrow services, with extensive regulatory obligations around the globe. He is also a Non-Executive Director of Freelancer Limited, a publicly listed company that runs Freelancer.com, the world’s largest freelancing and crowd-sourcing marketplace. Darren has extensive experience of working with global regulators and is passionate about the role of regulation in protecting consumers, particularly children.

Previously, Darren was a founder of Sensory Networks, a venture-backed network security hardware company, where he held the roles of Chief Technology Officer and subsequently Chief Executive Officer. He has a Ph.D. in Computer Science specialising in computer networking from the University of Sydney.

Most recently, Darren has been focusing on a venture applying machine learning and artificial intelligence models in the financial markets.
