Question 8 asked To what extent do you agree or disagree that in the past 12 months, you or someone close to you has experienced negative consequences as a result of your gambling? With answer options of: Strongly agree , Agree, Neither agree nor disagree, Disagree, Strongly disagree, Prefer not to say
Question 9 asked To what extent do you agree or disagree that in the past 12 months, you have experienced negative consequences as a result of someone else's gambling? With answer options of: Strongly agree , Agree, Neither agree nor disagree, Disagree, Strongly disagree, Prefer not to say
In the Feedback updated 1 May 2024 - on the Commission's consultations website you state the number of respondents for each category was as follows: 1,881 members of the public, 86 persons representing a charity and/or non-profit organisation, 69 persons representing a gambling business, 17 persons representing a professional body, including academic organisations, 12 persons representing a trade association, 270 persons, responding in a personal capacity who is or has worked in a gambling business, 54 academics responding as individuals, 9 representing a licensing authority or other regulator, 13 other (not specified).
I would like to request under the Freedom of Information Act the answers given by respondents to questions 6,7,8,9 broken down by respondent category only.

In your email you have requested answers given by respondents to questions 6,7,8,9 broken down by respondent category only for the 'Summer 2023 consultation on proposed changes to Licence Conditions and Codes of Practice (LCCP), Remote Gambling and Software Technical Standards (RTS), and arrangements for Regulatory Panels' opened on 26th July 2023.
These questions are as follows:

Please note that for this consultation, the Commission only captured the data requested from the 3 categories below:
- Members of the public
- An academic, responding as an individual
- A person responding in a personal capacity who is or has worked in a gambling business.
We can confirm that we do not hold the information from the other respondent categories requested as we have only asked these consultation questions to those responding in a personal capacity.
The full numbers of respondents for each of the categories listed is as follows:
- 1870 - members of the public noting that 11 didn't answer
- 54 - an academic, responding as an individual
- 270 - a person responding in a personal capacity who is or has worked in a gambling business.
Review of the decision
If you are unhappy with the service you have received in relation to your Freedom of Information request you are entitled to an internal review of our decision.
