Response
Thank you for your request which has been processed under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA).
In your email you have requested:
- The amount of central government funding received on an annual basis over the last three years.
- How has this has been distributed amongst your different departments and projects in this period?
The Gambling Commission’s work is funded by fees set by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS). These fees are paid by the gambling businesses and individuals we license and fund all gambling regulation except for the National Lottery.
Our work for The National Lottery is paid by a grant from the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
Section 21 of the FOIA provides that information is exempt where it is reasonably accessible elsewhere.
