B1 Gaming Machines

Request

I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. For the most recent reporting period available, please provide:

The total number of licensed B1 gaming machines in the UK, broken downby manufacturer / supplier.

I would like to clarify that I am not requesting any financial, revenue, performance, or commercially sensitive data only unit counts of licensed machines by supplier for the entire B1 market.

Response

Thank you for your request which has been processed under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA).

In your email you have requested the total number of licensed B1 gaming machines in the UK, broken down by manufacturer / supplier for the most recent reporting period available.

A gaming machine is defined by the Gambling Act 2005 (opens in new tab) as a machine that is designed or adapted for use by individuals to gamble - whether or not it can also be used for other purposes. Further information in relation to category B1 machines can be found here: B1 gaming machines.

In relation to your request, the Gambling Commission can confirm that we do not hold information regarding the total number of licensed B1 gaming machines in the UK broken down by manufacturer / supplier.
