This report, covering the period January 2026 to March 2026, is a continuation of a series of quarterly publications of industry statistics.
We are able to publish data on a quarterly basis now that all licensed operators are required to submit their regulatory returns at the same time each quarter, following changes that we made in July 2024. For more detail on these changes, visit Regulatory returns changes - effective 1 July 2024.
The quarterly publication includes core industry data from the customer-facing sectors of the market in Great Britain, such as Gross Gambling Yield (GGY) and premises numbers, but the annual publication remains the more comprehensive report.
In the report we have included data from the 3 previous quarters (April to June 2025, July to September 2025 and October 2025 to December 2025) to reveal seasonal trends and to provide rolling 12-month totals.
Please also note that all previous quarters have been updated to reflect newly reported or revised data submitted by licence holders and to ensure consistency with the information published in the Industry Statistics - Annual report - Financial year April 2025 to March 2026.

£1.5 billion – Total Remote Casino GGY, which equates to 68.3 percent of the Total RCBB GGY (January 2026 to March 2026).
£1.2 billion - Total GGY for Land-based Sectors (Arcades, Betting, Bingo and Casino) (January 2026 to March 2026).
£595 million – Total Betting (non-remote) GGY, which equates to 50.4 percent of the Total Non-remote GGY (January 2026 to March 2026).
191,804 – Number of machines in Gambling Commission licensed premises in Great Britain (January 2026 to March 2026).
£391 million - Contributions to good causes from The National Lottery (January 2026 to March 2026).
£128 million - Contributions to good causes from large society lotteries (January 2026 to March 2026).
