Why am I being asked for proof of address?

Gambling businesses may ask for a document with your address on in order to verify you.

You can find out more about what types of documents you can be asked to provide in order to be verified.

As of 7 May 2019, all gambling businesses must verify the following:

  • your name
  • your address
  • your date of birth.

This information must be verified as a minimum before gambling businesses can allow you to gamble.
