Corporate Governance Framework

Our corporate governance framework sets out the necessary responsibilities and procedures that guarantee we operate properly.

Introduction

    1.0
    1. Anyone can have concerns about things that are happening at work. Usually, these concerns can be easily resolved. If concerns are not dealt with, or when they relate to serious issues like possible unlawful conduct, fraud, risks to the public or the environment, or other malpractice, it can be difficult to know what to do.

    2. You may worry about reporting concerns, because they are only a suspicion or because you feel it is ‘none of your business’. You may feel that you are being disloyal to colleagues or to the Gambling Commission. You may also have concerns about being branded a troublemaker, or worry about your job security or prospects.

    3. These fears are understandable, however, we want to reassure employees of the Gambling Commission, or those temporarily working at or for the Commission, that raising such concerns is welcomed.

    4. If after reading this Policy you feel that you wish to raise a concern, there are lots of different ways to do so. The accompanying internal guidance document will support you with this process and provide the expected timescales for a response. There is also internal guidance available on how to respond to a concern.
