Consultation

During the latter half of 2014, we consulted on proposed amendments to our Statement of Principles for licensing and regulation and the Licensing, compliance and enforcement statement. These statements were last published in 2009.

We proposed in the consultation to amend and update the statements, in particular to take into account of:

  • the new Regulators’ Code
  • the Commission’s experience since they were last published in 2009
  • internal structural changes to improve our operation
  • an emphasis on early resolution of issues
  • feedback from the industry.
