Response
Thank you for your request which has been processed under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA).
In your email you have requested details of all hospitality, gifts, travel, accommodation, conference passes or event invitations accepted by board members, senior executives or directors since 1 January 2023, where the donor was an organisation regulated by your body.
Gambling Commission employees or appointees cannot accept gifts, however modest, from actual or prospective licensees. Further to this, Commission employees or appointees cannot accept hospitality from actual or prospective licensees. These terms avoid Commission employees or appointees being in situations that would, or might appear to, place them under any obligation or compromise their impartiality or be otherwise improper.
As such, no information falling within the scope of your request is held by the Commission.
The Commission has an obligation to publish any accepted gifts or hospitality received from other stakeholders over the value of £10. This is part of the Gambling Commission’s commitment to good practice in corporate governance. The register can be viewed on our website here: Gifts and hospitality register.
