Introduction

This current survey is the third published in the Gambling Survey for Great Britain (GSGB) series. A primary advantage of the GSGB is having a consistent methodology and core survey questions allowing key trends over time to be traced.

Trend tables A.1 to A.6 show comparisons between 2023, 2024 and 2025 for 6 key survey estimates. These are:

  • gambling participation in the past 12 months, including and excluding Lottery draw products only players (Trend table A.1)
  • gambling participation in the past 4 weeks, including and excluding Lottery draw products only players (Trend table A.2)
  • Problem Gambling Severity Index (PGSI) score distributions (Trend tables A.3 and A.4)
  • experience of one or more potential adverse consequences due to own gambling (Trend table A.5) or others’ gambling (Trend table A.6)
  • experience of one or more severe adverse consequences due to own gambling (Trend table A.5) or others’ gambling (Trend table A.6)
