Details

Following an investigation outside of a licence review, the Gambling Commission (“the Commission”) found that David Llyn Thomas and Mehmet Emin Serin trading as Ace Electra Amusements (“the Licensee”):  

  • Breached Licence Condition 15.3.1 - General and regulatory returns

Failed to comply with Social Responsibility Code Provision (SRCP):  

  • SRCP 3.5.6 - Multi-operator non-remote Social Responsibility code;
  • SRCP 3.2.3 paragraph 6 – Adult Gaming Centre Social Responsibility Code;
  • SRCP 10.1.1 paragraphs 1, 2a and 2b - Assessing local risk

In line with the Commission’s Licensing, Compliance and Enforcement policy statement and the Statement of principles for determining financial penalties, the Commission has decided to impose a financial penalty of £4,600 under section 121(1) of the Act.  

The Licensee co-operated with the Commission throughout the investigation and Officials note the remedial action taken by the Licensee to ensure future regulatory compliance.
