What is a sanction?

When a licence holder has not followed rules and regulations aimed at ensuring gambling is fair, safe and crime-free, we can take action and impose the following sanctions:

  • Give the licensee a warning
  • Add, remove, or amend a condition to the licence
  • Suspend a licence
  • Revoke a licence
  • Impose a financial penalty

Details of action

The Commission has revoked the above licence with effect from 5 June 2020 under the provisions of section 119(1) of the Gambling Act 2005 (‘the Act’).

Brian Mark Hunt was advised of the Commission’s decision and of his right to appeal but Brian Mark Hunt did not raise and appeal.

With effect from 5 June 2020, Brian Mark Hunt is no longer authorised to work in a position for which a personal licence is required.
