Kirsty started her career in compliance at a junior level with William Hill, where she worked in the department for 8 years. She quickly climbed the ranks, becoming ultimately responsible for all areas of compliance within the online business, which held gambling licences across multiple jurisdictions. Before establishing Betsmart in 2019, Kirsty completed 18 months with a well backed start-up company as VP of compliance, where she drove the set-up of the compliance framework from scratch. She also holds two graduate and one post graduate level qualification in Governance, Risk and Compliance and in AML with the International Compliance Association. 

Kirsty founded Betsmart Consulting with a clear vision: “To help build a healthy respected industry, whilst providing a safe environment for customers to enjoy, and enabling organisations to thrive”. She recognises that to achieve this vision cooperation and communication between regulator and industry is imperative.
