National Strategy to Reduce Gambling Harms

Continued expansion of NHS-led problem gambling clinics across the north of England (NHSE)

Updates

May 2022

As part of the the NHS long term plan, published in 2019, we committed to expand geographical coverage of NHS services for people with serious gambling problems, through the creation of 15 specialist gambling clinics by 2023/2024. With secured funding from GambleAware for 2022/2023, we continue to expand this program through the North of England. Funding has enabled Greater Manchester Authority to produce a dedicated program delivering a whole system, public health approach to prevent and reduce gambling related harm.
