I am writing to make a formal request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 concerning Sky Bet's "Super Spins" promotion and, specifically, the "£50 cash" feature associated with that promotion.
I would be grateful if you could provide any recorded information held by the Gambling Commission relating to the following:
For clarity, I am requesting aggregate/statistical information only and am not seeking any personal data relating to individual players.
If the Gambling Commission does not hold the precise figures requested, I would nevertheless ask that you provide any recorded information you do hold that relates to the number of spins, the number of participants, the number of £50 cash awards, or the frequency with which the £50 cash feature has been triggered.
If the information is held in a different format, or under a different description or terminology, please consider the substance of the request rather than limiting the search to the exact wording used above.
If any part of the requested information is exempt from disclosure, please identify the specific exemption relied upon and provide all non-exempt information that can reasonably be disclosed. Where an exemption is qualified, I would also ask that the relevant public-interest considerations be taken into account.
If you consider that the request is too broad or otherwise requires clarification, please contact me before refusing the request and specify what clarification would enable the information to be identified.
Please treat this correspondence as a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and provide a response within the statutory timeframe.
I would prefer the information to be supplied electronically.
Thank you for your request which has been processed under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA).
In your email you have requested information concerning Sky Bet's "Super Spins" promotion and, specifically, the "£50 cash" feature associated with that promotion. In particular:
I can confirm that no recorded information falling within the scope of your request is held by the Gambling Commission. This is information which would be held by the individual operator and not information we routinely collect as part of our regulatory functions.
If you are unhappy with the service you have received in relation to your Freedom of Information request you are entitled to an internal review of our decision. You should write to FOI Team, Gambling Commission, 4th floor, Victoria Square House, Victoria Square, Birmingham, B2 4BP or by reply to this email.
Please note, internal review requests should be made within 40 working days of the initial response. Requests made outside this timeframe will not be processed.
If you are not content with the outcome of our review, you may then apply directly to the Information Commissioner (ICO) for a decision. Generally, the ICO cannot make a decision unless you have already exhausted the review procedure provided by the Gambling Commission.
It should be noted that if you wish to raise a complaint with the ICO about the Commission’s handling of your request for information, then you are required to do so within six weeks of receiving your final response or last substantive contact with us.
The ICO can be contacted at: The Information Commissioner’s Office (opens in a new tab), Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF.
