Licenced operators and the products they offer

Please could you provide a comprehensive list of companies currently licenced to sell gambling products in the UK? If possible, please could you include the number of gambling related products licenced by each company?

Thank you for your request which has been processed under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA).

In your email you have requested:

1. A comprehensive list of companies currently licenced to sell gambling products in the UK.
2. If possible, include the number of gambling related products licenced by each company.

Section 21 of the FOIA provides that information is exempt where it is reasonably accessible elsewhere. The Gambling Commission publishes a register of licenced gambling businesses on our website. This can be viewed here:

This register can be downloaded (ideally the files named 'business-licence-register.xlsx’) and analysed to extract the information falling within the scope of your request.

In answer to part one of your request, licenced operators can be found in the businesses tab.

In order to fulfil part two of your request, you will need to perform a VLOOKUP from the business tab to the licences tab, which details the individually licenced functions of each operator. This will collate the information you are requesting.

Please note, you will need to be mindful to only look at active operators.

Review of the decision

If you are unhappy with the service you have received in relation to your Freedom of Information request you are entitled to an internal review of our decision. You should write to FOI Team, Gambling Commission, 4th floor, Victoria Square House, Victoria Square, Birmingham, B2 4BP or by reply to this email.

Please note, internal review requests should be made within 40 working days of the initial response. Requests made outside this timeframe will not be processed.

If you are not content with the outcome of our review, you may then apply directly to the Information Commissioner (ICO) for a decision. Generally, the ICO cannot make a decision unless you have already exhausted the review procedure provided by the Gambling Commission.
