Request

REDACTED

Therefore, could I please request for the self-exclusion stats for all the betting shops within the Hillingdon Borough for the financial year of 20021/22. It would be helpful if we could get these figures for each premises that falls within the Borough.

Response

Thank you for your request which has been processed under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA).

In your email you have requeted self-exclusion stats for all the betting shops within the Hillingdon Borough for the financial year of 20021/22.

Whilst I can confirm that the Gambling Commission does hold information relating to self-exclusion levels by operator, we are unable to provide any sort of geographical breakdown at the regional level you have requested. This information is provided to the Commission by operators through their regulatory return’s submissions. These figures are not broken down by individual betting shops.

A regulatory return is a means of collecting a range of information from Operating Licence holders within the gambling industry in order to monitor compliance with gambling legislation, regulations and the Licence Conditions and Codes of Practice, and to inform the Gambling Commission’s understanding of the gambling market.

As such, we were unable to provide any information falling within the specific scope of your request.

The Multi operator self-exclusion scheme, or MOSES service allows people to self-exclude from multiple betting shops. This information may be held by them. Their generic contact email is help@self-exclusion.co.uk. Please note, this service is not subject to the obligations set out by the FOIA.
