Our phonelines are open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 10 am and 4 pm.

The contact us service is also available for answers to common questions and we will aim to respond to these enquiries as quickly as possible.

The National Gambling Helpline is also available 24 hours a day, seven days a week through GamCare. It is there to support those suffering from gambling problems or those concerned about the affect gambling is having on people close to them. Twitter policy

The Gambling Commission's @GamRegGB Twitter account is managed by our Corporate Affairs team.

We do not use any automation (such as tools which generate tweets from RSS feeds) to post content on Twitter.

If you follow us, you can expect tweets covering some or all of the following:

  • News releases.
  • Alerts about new content on our website including consultations and publications.
  • Occasional coverage of events.
  • Items of interest to our stakeholders.


We are an independent non-departmental public body (NDPB) sponsored by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS). As such we do not engage with people on political issues or issues that are outside our statutory remit. Our aim is to ensure the public and our stakeholders have accurate information about us and about gambling regulation in Great Britain.


We do not automatically follow back new followers. Due to resources, we can only occasionally review our follower list and follow back accounts that are not spam. Being followed back does not imply endorsement of any kind.


We will update and monitor our Twitter account during office hours, Monday to Friday. Twitter may occasionally be unavailable and we accept no responsibility for lack of service due to Twitter downtime.

@Replies and Direct Messages

We welcome feedback and ideas from all our followers. However, we are not able to reply individually to the messages we receive via Twitter. Any emerging themes or helpful suggestions are passed to the relevant colleagues within the Commission.

We endeavour to monitor all replies and messages and react appropriately, but please use the Contact us section of our website for any formal contact with the Gambling Commission or for queries requiring a response.
