Proposal to modify LCCP for 2005 Act casinos
Start
date: 23 September 2011
End date: 21 October 2011
As a result of this consultation the Gambling Commission has now
published:
LCCP Supplement 10 2005 Act casinos - November 2011
The Gambling Act 2005 (the Act) created two new models of
casino, termed 'large' and 'small' casinos. In these casinos,
facilities for gambling can be offered in reliance on more than one
type of operating licence but operated under a single premises
licence.
We considered what changes might be required to the licence
conditions and codes of practice (LCCP) applying to these
individual operating licence types, in the particular situation
where casino, betting and in some cases bingo are offered within
the same premises. We concluded that a small number of technical
changes were required in order to meet the requirements of the
legislation; none of these represented a change in
policy.
Following a period of consultation, the proposed changes were
confirmed and
implemented with effect from 1 December 2011.
