The Gambling Commission has now published
Prize competitions and free draws - The requirements of the
Gambling Act 2005 - December 2009.
The issues paper and annex below discussed the need for
organisers of prize competitions and free draws, such as those
featured on some TV programmes, to stay within the law.
We also provided a further chance to comment
on the question of what constitutes ‘payment to enter’ in relation
to TV quizzes on 11 April 2007.
