As a result of this consultation, the Gambling
Commission published Licence conditions and codes of
practice supplement 5: revision to condition 11 concerning
lotteries. This supplement has now been included in
Licence
conditions and codes of practice - consolidated December 2011
This consultation followed a Department for Culture, Media and
Sport consultation on whether the limit on proceeds from society
lotteries should be increased, and whether the proposed doubling of
the limit from £2 million to £4 million is appropriate and
adequate.
Our consultation asked whether, subject to its approval by
Parliament, we should increase the society lottery proceeds limit
to that set in the consequent Order. It then asked about
another change to the licence condition, which would increase all
the prize limits stated to match the maximum prize limit set by
Parliament for a single draw.
