Gaming Machine Technical Standards: Category C and complex Category D - game links and speed of play

Start date: 07/11/2008
End date: 19/12/2008
Number of responses: 78

The Gambling Commission published a consultation on the speed of play and game links elements of the category C and D (complex) gaming machine technical standards.

The proposed changes were to impact only category C machines.

DCMS concluded a consultation on changes to the stakes and prize limits of category C and D gaming machines.  As a result of the potential changes we reviewed the current category C, category D (complex) and category D (non complex) standards and considered that only the speed of play and game links elements that apply to category C gaming machines may need amending.

Given the importance of implementing these changes alongside the DCMS changes, minimising uncertainty in the industry, and the limited number of issues it covers, this consultation ran for 6 weeks and closed on 19 December 2008.
