As a result of this consultation, the Gambling
Commission has published
Licensing, compliance and enforcement - licensing - final
regulatory impact assessment - February 2007
The consultation set out in detail, our
proposed policies and procedures for issuing licences, ensuring
compliance with regulatory requirements and enforcing those
requirements under the Gambling Act 2005.
Responses to the sections on compliance and
enforcement, in the consultation document, were published in June
2007. A range of detailed comments were made, both in response to
specific questions posed in the consultation document, and as
suggestions or queries relating to particular paragraphs.
In addition to the formal written submissions,
a series of meetings were held with key stakeholder groups,
including the main trade associations, faith groups and gambling
industry trade unions.
