The Gambling Commission has eight Commissioners, including our Chairman,
Philip Graf, and our Chief Executive, Jenny Williams. The
Commissioners are appointed by the Secretary of State for Culture,
Media and Sport.
The Commissioners ensure that we exercise our functions under
current legislation in pursuit of the licensing objectives, which
are:
- to keep crime out of gambling
- to ensure that gambling is fair and open
- to protect children and vulnerable adults from being harmed or
exploited by gambling.
Commissioners also sit on one or both of our subcommittees, the
Audit Committee
and the Remuneration Committee.
