How much are operating licence fees - arcades?

You should pay your operating licence application fee at the same time as you submit your operating licence application.

You will also need to pay your first annual fee to us within 30 days, if the Gambling Commission issues you with an operating licence. You will then need to pay a fee every year, before the anniversary date of our issuing your licence.

Application fees - operating licence

The fees for arcades are worked out by the number of licensed premises you run.

Do I get a discount if I apply for more than one type of licence?

If you apply for a combination of different types of licence which are either remote or non-remote (except for ancillary remote licence or linked licences), you will get a discount.

How do I pay my licence application fees?

You can pay your fees:

  • by cheque or bank draft made payable to the Gambling Commission
  • by credit or debit card (please complete your card details on the application form).

Operating licence - annual fees

For the first year, unless you are applying for a remote licence, ancilliary remote or linked licence, the annual fees below will be reduced by 25%.  If you apply for a combination of different operating licences, you will get a discount on your annual fee.

*Where the number of licensed premises operated by the licence holder is 400 to 499, the annual fee is £60,236. Where the number of licensed premises operated by the licence holder is 500 or more, the annual fee is £60,236 plus an additional £5,000 for each block of up to 100 premises.
